‘Haunting’ selected as one of the finalist for the Adelaide Perry Prize for Drawing 2020.

The Adelaide Perry Prize for Drawing is a $25,000 acquisitive art award among the most significant of its kind in the country.

Named in honour of respected painter, printmaker and draughtswoman, Miss Adelaide Elizabeth Perry  (1891-1973) who taught Visual Arts at PLC Sydney from 1930 to 1962, the Prize attracts submissions from around the country.

The judge for the 2020 Adelaide Perry Prize for Drawing is Dr Felicity Fenner, Associate Professor, UNSW Art & Design.

The Adelaide Perry Prize for Drawing Exhibition of Finalists 2020 will commence on Friday 28 February and run to 27 March 2020.

Adelaide Perry Gallery – Corner Hennessy and College Streets, Croydon NSW.

Open on Weekdays from 8.30 am – 4.00 pm and Saturdays from 11 am – 4.00 pm.

At the close of the exhibition a people’s choice award of $2,000 will be awarded to the finalist’s work voted favourite by Gallery visitors. Voting slips will be available online.

Blue Mountains Portraits is the Cultural Centre’s annual celebration of the local community and its diverse members. The exhibition artistry portray the unique people that make up the cultural fabric of the Blue Mountains and tell stories behind the person. Over forty artworks in a broad range of styles and media such as printing, photography, drawing, collage and mixed media will be exhibited together with a selection of local student work.

Birdland II

A group exhibition of artworks depicting Australian Birdlife

hosted by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Blue Mountains Heritage Centre.

Two-day workshop using a range of techniques to expand your knowledge of mark making in a variety of mediums. You can expect to develop drawing skills including the refining of your composition, become more familiar with using charcoal and loosening up methods that help to promote individual expression.

The Creative Summer School will be held at the Nepean Arts and Design Centre, located at TAFE NSW Nepean.
