The Tim Olsen Drawing Prize has established a reputation for its commitment to encouraging excellence and promoting drawing practice and research at our faculty, UNSW for 14 years. The Tim Olsen Drawing Prize has been a joint initiative since 2001, led by the Department of Drawing and Painting, School of Art at COFA and continuously supported by Tim Olsen Gallery and now by the new venture – Olsen Irwin. Tim Olsen Drawing Prize 2015, now in its fifteenth year is open to all current Postgraduate (Master by course work, Master by research, and PhD) and Honours students across the school. The open exhibition is a platform to showcase their work and contribute to the dialogue and understanding about drawing.

Re-magine 2015 is an expansion of the Returned to Glory competition that Hornsby Shire Council has been running in partnership with Hornsby Art Society and sponsored by Cleanaway (our waste contractor) since 2009.

2015 Calleen Art Award
Work After the fires finalist in 2015 Calleen Art Award
The Calleen Art Award is an acquisitive national painting prize in any subject and style. The award was established in 1977 by Patricia Fagan OAM and is made possible by the generous support of the Calleen Trust. The winner of the 2015 Calleen Art Award will receive $19,000 in prize money and their painting will join the Calleen Collection at the Cowra Regional Art Gallery. An entered artwork must be the original painting by the artist in any subject, style and painting medium including oils, acrylic or watercolour.
Announcement of the winners of the Awards will take place at the Official Gala Opening and Exhibition Preview on Saturday 2 May 2015. Exhibition dates are Sunday 3 May to Sunday 16 June 2015.
